For Household Farming
Geese
Keeping geese requires sufficient space, access to water, and high-quality feed to ensure normal development and high productivity of the flock.
Feeding recommendations
Feeding dry compound feed allows full mechanization of feed preparation and the use of automated systems that reduce labour costs for feeding poultry. On small, farms bunker feeders can be used. The number of feeders should be determined according to standards and stocking density.
At the beginning of the rearing period, geese are provided with feeders at the rate of 1 feeder per 50-60 goslings, and from the second week the number of feeders should provide 3 cm of feeding space per bird. Feed and water intake should be checked after 4 and 24 hours.
Depending on the planned productivity, the feeding period of the birds is divided into two (0–14, 15–56+) or three (0–10, 11–21, 22–45+) periods. To achieve optimal results, follow feeding recommendations provided by genetics suppliers.
